IP Infringement & Content Complaints

Operator: WASABI Media (independent publication)Last updated:
How to report copied work, unauthorized images, trademark concerns, privacy issues or other potentially unlawful content.

Where to send a report

Send a report to wasabimedia623@gmail.com with “Copyright complaint”, “Trademark complaint” or another accurate subject. This is our publication’s contact channel, not a claim that a designated DMCA agent has been registered with the US Copyright Office. Do not include passwords or unnecessary identity documents.

What to include

Identify yourself and, if relevant, the rights holder you represent; provide a working contact address and your authority to act. Describe the protected work or other right, link to a reliable original or explain ownership, and provide the exact WASABI URLs and portions you dispute. Explain the concern and requested action clearly. Screenshots can help, but should not unnecessarily reveal someone else’s private data.

For a copyright notice, include a good-faith statement that the disputed use is not authorized by the rights holder, its agent or applicable law; a statement that the information is accurate and you are the owner or authorized representative; and your physical or electronic signature. A particular statutory process may require additional statements, contact information or formalities. Knowingly misleading reports can have legal consequences.

How reports are assessed

We may request missing information, restrict access while investigating, contact the contributor, remove or correct material, or seek legal advice. We consider ownership, licence, applicable exceptions and the context of the use; attribution alone does not settle legality. Urgent privacy, safety or court-order concerns should be identified clearly.

Relevant parts of a complaint may be shared with the contributor or rights holder so the issue can be addressed, and with service providers or authorities where necessary and lawful. We seek to avoid unnecessary sharing of private contact details. Keep a copy of your report. We do not promise automatic removal on every allegation or a universal response deadline unrelated to the law that applies.

If your content is challenged

Reply with the specific material, your contact details and evidence of ownership, permission or another lawful basis for the use. Identify any factual mistake and the resolution you request. We may keep material restricted while a dispute is unresolved. A formal statutory counter-notice can have legal consequences, including disclosure of contact information and court-related statements, so seek advice before submitting one.

Where a legally applicable notice-and-counter-notice process governs a complaint, its requirements take precedence. We do not promise a US DMCA restoration timetable or safe-harbor protection merely because this page exists.

Contributor responsibilities and repeat issues

Contributors must use original, licensed or otherwise lawfully usable material, keep permission records where relevant, and cooperate with credible complaints. Do not assume that a promotional still, screenshot, credited image, fan work or review is automatically free to reuse. We may restrict or close accounts involved in repeated or serious substantiated infringement, with any process required by applicable law.

Third-party marks and fictional characters remain the property of their respective rights holders. Coverage does not imply endorsement. Permissions for original WASABI work must come from the person authorized to grant them.

US statutory procedures

The US Copyright Office explains that section 512 safe harbors have conditions, including agent designation for relevant providers. Publishing a contact page is not registration. See the Copyright Office’s section 512 resources for the official explanation. Other countries’ copyright, privacy and consumer rules may also apply.

Contact and requests

Send privacy requests, corrections, complaints and legal notices to wasabimedia623@gmail.com. Identify the relevant account or page and explain what you need. Do not send passwords, reset links, unnecessary identity documents or sensitive information.

We may need proportionate evidence of identity or authority before disclosing, changing or deleting account data. We aim to respond promptly and must meet any response period that applicable law requires. You may complain directly to a relevant data-protection authority without contacting us first.
