GTA 6 Is Getting Its Own Album With Travis Scott, Future, Keith Richards and More
Rockstar Games is raising the bar when it comes to the musical aspect of Grand Theft Auto VI by revealing GTA 6: The Album, a special collection of original songs made for the highly anticipated game. The album will include 34 original tracks, combining artists from various parts of the music world and at the same time matching the atmosphere of the fictional state of Leonida featured in GTA 6. Since Vice City is once again one of the game's main locations, music will have a major part to play in producing the Miami-inspired atmosphere.
Travis Scott, Future and More Join the Lineup
Rockstar has made public the first batch of tracks from the album, having already secured some well-known names for the project. The tracks that have been announced are "That's It" with Yung Lean featuring Future and Metro Boomin, Travis Scott's "RHYNO", and a track involving CA7RIEL and Paco Amoroso together with PinkPantheress, Fred again.. and Étienne de Crécy entitled "Sexy Magic."
The act also features Morgan Wallen performing "Last Thing You Need", Rauw Alejandro with "Macacoa 2000", and the legendary Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards who is singing "Bright Lights, Big City". Six of the album’s 34 tracks have been released as singles, leaving 28 tracks unrevealed.
Music Will Be a Major Part of Vice City
Music has been one of the main characteristics of the Grand Theft Auto series from the beginning.
Rockstar has used music—such as memorable radio stations and carefully chosen songs—to give each GTA world its own individuality, and GTA 6 seems likely to carry on this practice by including a special album.
The fact that the game returns to Vice City also provides Rockstar with the opportunity to explore a variety of sounds, genres and musical influences.
GTA 6 Will Have More Than Just The Album
The album forms only one aspect of the total music experience in GTA 6. The game will include a dynamic score and radio stations of its own, so that music will be heard in various areas of the open world. That might mean that driving around Leonida becomes even more diverse, particularly since Rockstar includes licensed music, original songs and its own game score.
A 34-Track Album Is Coming
Rockstar have confirmed that GTA 6: The Album will have 34 original tracks. So far, six songs have been made public, with 28 tracks still unannounced. There therefore have the potential to be a great many surprises in store as Rockstar keeps on revealing more of the soundtrack and the artists taking part. The album will arrive on 19 November 2026 at the same time as GTA 6.
GTA 6's Music Could Become Part of Its Identity
The memorable parts of the games have always included the radio stations and soundtracks from the Grand Theft Auto series.
GTA 6 is well positioned to carry on that legacy by producing a much bigger musical project. Since Travis Scott, Future, Metro Boomin, PinkPantheress, Fred again.., Rauw Alejandro, Morgan Wallen and Keith Richards have already announced themselves, it is probably going to happen that expectations regarding the other tracks will increase as Rockstar reveals more. At the moment Rockstar is holding most of the album in secret, though the first six tracks already give players an idea of what the musical side of Leonida could sound like.
There are still a great many more songs to be revealed since 34 original ones have been planned.
