GOLD LANE MENACE

The Marksman Tier List Nobody Asked For

A Gold Lane marksman stands over a shattered enemy team, farming gold while the jungler takes all the credit.
A Gold Lane marksman stands over a shattered enemy team, farming gold while the jungler takes all the credit.

Every Mobile Legends player has that one teammate who locks Beatrix, goes 2/9, then blames the tank for “not peeling.” Meanwhile, the actual best Gold Lane pick depends on rank, hands, patch, and whether your jungler understands the concept of a buff.

So let’s settle it: Beatrix is the most versatile, Claude is the best team-fight carry, Melissa is the safest menace, and Karrie exists purely to ruin a tank’s entire personality.

What a Marksman Actually Does

A Marksman is the late-game damage engine: ranged, item-hungry, fragile, and expected to melt towers, tanks, and overconfident assassins once the build comes online. They usually farm Gold Lane, scale hard, and become the reason your team either wins Lord fights or gets wiped while you type “focus objectives.”
The catch is simple: high damage, low forgiveness. One wrong step and the enemy assassin turns your entire item build into a donation.

The Real Ranked Picks

Beatrix — Four weapons, endless flexibility, sniper pokes, shotgun burst, rocket-launcher chaos. She can play like Lesley, Miya, Ixia, and a close-range assassin depending on the situation. The problem is that she demands actual hands; in solo queue, her mechanical investment often does not pay off.
Claude — The team-fight king. His Battle Mirror Image gives him mobility, while Blazing Duet can shred an entire enemy lineup if the timing is clean. Reddit players consistently rate him among the best ranked marksmen, especially for Lord contests and late-game team fights.
Melissa — Miya’s damage with the survival tools Miya wishes she had. Her doll extends her range, her dash keeps her alive, and her ultimate knocks back anyone dumb enough to dive her. Against melee-heavy teams, she is a nightmare.
Karrie — The official tank exterminator. Her passive deals HP-based True Damage, meaning armor stacking does not save anyone. If the enemy picks three frontliners and calls it a “dive comp,” Karrie is the answer.
Brody — A safer hybrid marksman with strong early-to-mid-game pressure, mobility while attacking, and a devastating finisher. He will not out-DPS every hyper-carry, but he is far less likely to die before doing anything useful.
Bruno — A footballer with a shotgun and a personal vendetta. Malefic Gun fixed his range problem, letting him two-shot squishies before they reach him while dashing, knocking enemies back, and healing through lifesteal.
Moskov — A late-game demon with piercing attacks, dashes, and a long stun. He can carry hard, but he is also the kind of pick that becomes useless the moment the enemy refuses to let him free-hit.
Wanwan — The highest-ceiling outplay machine. Her mobility and invulnerable ultimate can solo-win fights, but her passive requirements mean one bad positioning read turns her into a very fast corpse.
Lesley — Sniper, assassin, and professional annoyance. Her true damage is scary, but she needs core items before she becomes a real threat, which gives enemies time to snowball her early.
Clint — Artillery marksman energy. He deletes squishies from absurd range with enhanced basic attacks and strong item synergy, though he lacks the sustained DPS to melt tanky comps as efficiently as Karrie or Lesley.

The Rank Reality Check

The community does not fully agree, and that is the beauty of Gold Lane. Some players swear by Claude for ranked consistency, others call Beatrix the most versatile marksman in the game, and others point to Melissa, Clint, Bruno, and Natan as dependable picks.
But tier lists also expose the uncomfortable truth: Beatrix’s pro-play reputation does not always translate to Mythical Honor solo queue. MLBBHub even put her in B tier for ranked, citing a 49.3% win rate and arguing that her mechanical demands rarely justify the pick outside coordinated play.
In other words: Beatrix is not bad. You might be bad. There is a difference.

The Current Meta Is Rude

Recent tier lists show how fast the Gold Lane meta shifts. One October 2026 list placed Melissa, Natan, Beatrix, and Granger in S+ territory, while another had Claude, Wanwan, Kimmy, and Karrie at the top.

That tells you everything: there is no single “best” marksman forever. There is only the best marksman for your rank, your team comp, and your willingness to admit that Miya is not a personality trait.

My Black-Hearted Verdict

Best overall ranked pick: Claude — mobile, team-fight dominant, and less dependent on frame-perfect mechanics than Beatrix.
Best high-skill flex pick: Beatrix — four weapons, infinite answers, and enough skill expression to embarrass you publicly.
Best safe carry: Melissa — damage, range, mobility, and self-peel in one package.
Best anti-tank answer: Karrie — True Damage is not a suggestion; it is a sentencing hearing.
Best “I have hands but hate dying” pick: Brody — durable, mobile, and dangerous before the late game even arrives.
Pick based on the enemy comp, not based on the skin you bought at 3 AM. Your Gold Lane farmer is not a main character until the items arrive—and even then, one Hayabusa ultimate can turn that main-character arc into a funeral
